Tonight: Council to mull adding two new neighborhoods

In what could essentially create a new Mountain View residential neighborhood, City Council members are poised Tuesday night to consider plans to build up to 600 new homes in the South Whisman area, and to officially add housing to plans governing development in North Bayshore.

And exactly where does the water come from that these additional homes will consume?

Drought? What drought? Let them drink a modest Medoc...

Will this get Whisman/Slater a school back? Maybe even a grocery store? Please!

It's extremely unlikely that this new development will attract a grocery store.

It's possible but not guaranteed that this new development will convince the MVWSD school board to reopen a school in the NE quadrant of Mountain View. If you want a school, join the effort to get one opened: www.reopenslater.org

Hmm, it's not like we don't have enough traffic already, we sure could use more.

Why should we conserve water, if they keep building more and more buildings that will use more and more water?
