Congratulations to the MV Voice for these presigious awards. And congratulations to our education reporter, Kevin Forestieri, for his 2nd place win in the education category. It's no wonder that this photo of Elena touched so many hearts. It's a heart-breaking story. Thank you to photographer Michelle Le for capturing this poignant moment. I'm glad she was recognized by her peers for this photo.

Michelle Le is powerful photographer, and her subject here is equally powerful. Elena Pacheco has fought for our city's at-risk children and families for decades, all the while, her own situation in MV was increasingly at risk.

Ms. Pacheco is hero in our city.

Congratulations Mountain View Voice!!!
I have admired Michelle Le's photos for years. The winners are very moving photographs and I am glad she is getting the recognition she deserves. I hope Mr. DeBolt hears about this on the trail.

Congratulations on your awards.

I recently placed first in my age group in a race despite walking only, and barely exceeding the minimum pace. I was the only one in my age group.

Your "Blue Ribbon finalist ... finishing among the top four newspaper of its size in the state" would be more meaningful if we knew how many newspapers of the Voice's size there were in the competition.

Congrats MV Voice! You are my favorite local paper; I glance at the online news and read the paper edition every Friday evening from cover to cover. Keep up the great work!

Congratulations to Ms. Le... your photos deserve this attention. And to the VOICE too. It's good to know our local newspaper is held in respect by its peers. Keep up the good work. Please be the watchdog our community needs.
