I really didn't see this coming, but Lenny appeared to be the only member of Council with both a backbone and some common sense. This decision is a disaster in the making, no matter how you slice it.
I second those comments and may I add:
Thank you Lenny for taking a stand on principals. A lesson that a few of your fellow council persons must have forgotten. The residents and voters of Mountain View who feel that Google is asking too much of their city; have not done their homework in regards to all the benefits the city has reaped over the last decade or so on behalf of Google. I own a home in Mountain View (16 years) and have worked at HP over 15 years and I have done my homework...
