Note to the door to door realtors: Leaving a flyer on a doorstep is fine, you can't fault someone for getting their name out. Leaving things like big pads of note paper with creepy realtor faces peering out at you(as if I would EVER have that on my kitchen counter) is wasteful and unneeded.
Please refrain from leaving trash on our doorsteps in the future.
Thanks.

Yes, further note to Realtors: Don't hang info/tags/etc on my gate/front door. I go to considerable lengths to keep my home unattractive to burglars by NOT having newspapers in the driveway, etc., when I go out of town. And I come home and find realtor stuff hanging outside my home for days. Please don't put it there.

Yes, I would like Joe Velasco and/or Rusty Paap to please not leave trash on my front door anymore as well. Besides, we know the score; these houses sell themselves. All you need is an open house sign and the masses will flood in. By Thursday you just count the offers. A great realtor will be able to sell houses in Stockton.

@Stop Please:

Yeah, but houses in Stockton are cheap, so the sales commission is much lower, plus the realtor needs to work his or her tail off so the property doesn't stay on the market for five months.

In Palo Alto, you get multi-million dollar "fixer-uppers" selling >20% over ask with multiple no-contingency cash offers within days.

That's why these guys advertise. They want you to *sell* your place because it's a complete no-brainer to move it. They want to be *your* listing agent, not someone from another agency. That's the tough part: getting a house to sell.

This is a seller's market right now.

I get similar ads on my front door and in my mailbox telling me recent comps, etc. Great, I sell, where do I move to? Stockton? Not interested.
