Mountain View man arrested on suspicion of hate crime

Palo Alto police arrested a Mountain View man Sunday night after he yelled racial epithets and threatened a man in a downtown parking lot.

What's the headline to this story?

Yes, I'm not sure a meth'ed out guy trying to intimidate someone physically and verbally constituted racial hate just because of one of the words he used to insult. Too many other good reasons to light him up without reaching with the hate crime accusation. Maybe they were just trying to throw everything they could at him. Like I said, at least meth is illegal and considered to be the socially dangerous substance that it is due to it's history of causing so many social ills.
