Back-to-basics burgers

Original post made on Apr 6, 2015

No milkshakes. No drive-thru. No breakfast, chicken, fish or coffee. Five Guys is tightly focused on burgers and fries.

Love me some Five Guys. When going out for this kind of food, calorie counts don't matter, pile on the toppings, free peanuts!!!...Fries can be a bit much.

In-N-Out makes a decent burger, but the meaty taste gets lost somewhere.

Me and my son think Five Guys is way better than In and Out. We used to
wait in that long In and Out drive thru line frequently. Now we never
go there. We always go to Five Guys. They are the best, especially the fries. And they always put extra fries in your bag which is totally awesome!

I will check out Five Guys someday in the not too distant future.

I'm a Clarke's/Kirk's guy myself, I like to support the local mom-and-pop shops for this sort of thing over a chain like In -n-Out (which is really nothing to write home about)

When I feel like splurging on a premium burger, I usually end up at Bierhaus. If I want a grease burger, I'll head to Zott's. :-)

Your bill will also be substantially higher than In-N-Out. (Note how burger/topping prices were left out of the article.)

We tried Five Guys but still like Clarke's much better. It's just down ECR and you can assemble your burger however you want.
