Editorial: 'Human rights city' question should inspire welcome discussion

The city's Human Relations Commission last month drafted a resolution that commissioners hope will lead to a designation of Mountain View as a "human rights city." It is expected to be passed along for City Council consideration sometime this year. The resolution says, in part, that with its commitment to human rights, the city would explicitly embrace "the principles of equality, inclusion, social pluralism, and the recognition of human dignity."

"Human Rights City"? What about the human rights of the unborn babies being aborted at the Planned Parenthood clinic on California St and San Antonio Road? Any "Human Rights" statement should include those children who are being killed daily in our fair town. I know, the censor is going to delete this. But we need to speak out.
