Update: Victims identified, motive sought in Palo Alto murder-suicide

The man who police believe used a semi-automatic gun to kill the building manager at a Palo Alto senior-housing complex on Thursday before turning the gun on himself has been identified as Marc Alvin Miller, a resident who was described by some of his neighbors as "lonely" and "disgruntled." The manager was identified Saturday as Vincent DePaul Collins, 70.

WHAT?!!! So I guess "living alone" is something to be alarmed about?! Stay away from those single dwellers people!

Unless there was some other violent crime in progress, motive is irrelevant. The story is an unstable man with a gun murdering a hard working apartment employee.

Maybe he was harassed by management, or his rent was going to go up 500%... Not unheard of here in Silly Valley.
