End of fun in Mountain View

Original post made by Bored, Cuernavaca, on Mar 11, 2015

I heard Laser Quest and the Century Cinema are going to close to make way for Google's dream complex. Where are teens going to go to have a little fun around here? The Palo Alto Bowling lanes are gone. The car racing, bumper boats, and mini golf course in Redwood City have been torn down. Why is teen life getting so dismal in Silicon Valley? What is the message here? Keep your nose to the books in your teen years, and if you're lucky, you might get to jolly around like a teen when you get to your twenties and land a coveted job at Google.

When I grew up here we rode bikes on the trails in the hills, played in creeks, played baseball, basketball and "Kill the pill" in the park. Sad those things are gone...wait what? Just go outside and play kids!

Is this true?

Not another blow to youth activities.
