Middle school entrepreneurs compete at Crittenden's Startup Weekend

Silicon Valley is immersed in a startup culture where innovative ideas, backed by investors, seem to sprout up every day. Last weekend, kids from all over the Bay Area gathered at Crittenden Middle School to get a taste of that entrepreneurial spirit by developing their own new ideas at the annual Startup Weekend event.

Too bad many Palo Alto kids including mine are too busy with busy homework day and night and missing many opportunities like this.

Nik Kalyani should be commended. Even though he doesn't yet have a child in Crittenden, he is already contributing to the middle school and the CR community. He volunteers countless hours bring more engineering, problem solving, math, technology etc. to classrooms
