Why are we spending money on people ILLEGALLY here? Oh, I forgot they are our toilet bowl cleaners for the big companies here, now I get it.

Unbelievable. $1.8M of our tax dollars are going to support people that broke our laws to enter our country illegally. And we wonder why we have an immigration problem? Too bad we can't spend that on our own citizens.

Immigrants have built this nation and you are the ones benefiting from us. Why speak so poorly of these illegal immigrants when in reality your ancestors were also immigrants of this nation?

Isn't this aiding and abetting?

@Katherine Diaz

How can you compare legal immigrants - who were invited here by the US government - to those that broke the laws of the US government.

Steve, [Portion removed; be respectful of other posters]
You are upset because the county is giving money to organizes that help immigrants to this country. You say that they are illegal and should be given nothing and we should spend that money on "legal citizens" like you.

The difference is that YOU break the law every day. You speed on our roadways, you drink and drive. You are illegal and deserve nothing. You also berate others for working hard to do the jobs that you are too lazy to do, Steve.

Did you even READ the article? The money is going to organizations and not individuals. Perhaps if you go back to school, work hard, someday you too can earn a high school diploma. It's not too late! You too can be a productive member of society like your so-called "illegals".

We have made a decision as a society to treat "illegals" with compassion and recognize the contribution they make to this country. A contribution far greater than you have made, Steve.

The money is for undocumented immigrants, not illegal immigrants. The legal undocumented would be eligible, and the illegal but documented (have drivers license, passport plus expired visitor visa, passport plus expired student visa, matricula from a Mexican consulate) would NOT be helped.
