I recently received a bill for over $1500 for the ambulance service. Is this usual? I am a MV resident, homeowner and taxpayer. Somehow, I had assumed that emergency services were payed for and provided by our city taxes -- not that I would have done anything different under the circumstances. I wonder about the indigent -- I live near housing for fixed income seniors; paramedics and fire come to their neighborhood on a near daily basis -- are they billed similarly?
