Hosting an international student is a wonderful opportunity for exposure to other cultures and to act as an ambassador of your community. Host Families play a vital role in the experience of international students. They have the opportunity to make a student feel welcome and to introduce them to the opportunities and cultures of Silicon Valley. When you participate in a homestay program, it's like traveling without leaving home. You are exposed to different languages, customs, foods, and thoughts when you open your home to someone from a different culture.
