County offers warrant forgiveness for the holidays

People who failed to appear in court and want to avoid spending the holidays in jail can get a second chance.

Public policy should be driven by what works, not by ideology. I suspect most of my fellow Mountain View residents agree. If this program works, saves money and reduces the number of outstanding warrants, it's good policy.

It's not going to save money... the police don't serve warrants on FTAs for shoplifting and unpaid moving violations
