Very disappointing MV voters

Original post made by Jes' Sayin', Bailey Park, on Nov 5, 2014

Considering the size of the population and looking at the number of votes for the city council, hardly any of you voted. Embarrassing.

Many people I knew who planned to vote did not register in time, and many are illegals who cannot even hope to vote. Also some felt helpless and did not see the point, as the big developers would rule & they did.

Hey, grassroots, step up! There is strength in numbers, which means we need all of you to establish the will of the people.

Too bad many who care the most have moved away from their dream of living here. It just no longer will be what they loved. But if you love it, fight for it. Don't fall for the hype that isn't true about rents dropping and vehicular gridlock clearing with the MORE people we add!

It is not just "illegals" who can't vote. Legal immigrants who do not have citizenship cannot vote either. I know many of those and wonder what percentage of our population fall into that category.
