I spent the last two years preparing myself for this campaign and did the best I could according to my principles. I tried to anticipate all the potential obstacles and find unique ways to overcome them, but in the end I fell short.
I will continue to try to be a voice for residents and small businesses within Mountain View because I love this city and as long as I can afford to live here, I want it to be my home. Right now it is too early to tell what the future has in store for me.
I and my family have made enormous sacrifices to make this second campaign possible and I am very proud of the campaign that I ran despite the result. There were times that tested my character, my endurance, and sometimes even my sanity, but now it is over and done and I will be taking time to do some of the very important things that I and my family put on hold.
I want to congratulate all the other candidates on the impressive campaigns that they ran. Every single one of them is very dedicated to their ideals and I have no doubt that they will be successful in all their future endeavors regardless of the ultimate results of their campaigns.
I also want to thank everyone who helped me along the way, offering advice, volunteering, and working hard to get my message and materials out. I would also like to thank those who supported me here in the forums and apologize that I didn't do as well as we all hoped that I would.
Lastly and most importantly, I want to thank my wife and daughter who put up with all the madness and stress for so long and kept me going. I could never have done any of this without them.
