The bond measure passed, thank goodness. Property values are moving higher and higher, while bond interest rates are incredibly low. Now is the time to act and the voters have spoken. Students and education first!

For LASD Board of Trustee, Swann and McClatchie were defeated. Another victory for students in LASD. These two candidates were going to continue their war against the public school system after their sound defeat in the court system. Personally, I'm disappointed they did not win. Their antics would have helped seal the charter school's fate when their certification comes up again for review. My inside sources tell me that Bullis was in danger for being de-certified at the last review, partly due to their highly restrictive recruiting practices.

Congratulations to Logan, Peruri and Ivanovic! And of course, congratulations to the students of LASD for being fortunate enough to have great leadership available.
