Palo Alto teen killed on tracks Tuesday

A 16-year-old Palo Alto male died on the train tracks early this morning, Caltrain spokeswoman Christine Dunn has confirmed.

So sad. If only every kid could be made to understand that the mental and spiritual world they are in now will change dramatically as they get older. It really DOES get better. Hormones are raging at 16 and depression and anxiety are common, but that situation improves quickly. As soon as you turn 18 you have legal agency, which means you are free to make your own way through your life and you don't have to accept any of the BS frames that are fed to you by schools, media and government.

I don't know anything about this specific case, but in general teens should know the despair they may feel today will probably soon part. Things that seem like giant burdens can become light as a feather with age and wisdom.

What a horrible nightmare for a parent to have to deal with. My thoughts and prayers go out to this family!!!
