City parts ways with Virgin Hotels

City Council members decided not to pursue an exclusive right to negotiate with Virgin to develop a hotel on two downtown parking lots.

I think Council should share the reason for not continuing the conversation with Virgin Hotels. If you read about what Virgin is doing with Hotels it is EXACTLY what Mountain View should be leading in. We are so far behind when it comes to lodging. We actually don't have any top tier hotels. We host some of the best companies in the world, but lodging is made up of 50's motels (charging top tier hotel prices).

Council Let's Lead and not follow here. We are behind in so many places, let's move forward with lodging.
