It's a 5% increase. The additional 2% is, in effect, a one-time bonus. Reporting should accurately reflect this. Also, this will end up benefiting old teachers over new teachers. That's the union for you.

Is this 5% increase every year, or just this year?

I understood the 2% was one-time perfectly well the way it was written.

Thanks anyway

Yes, the 5% is a raise in pay every year.

RV rider, to clarify, the 5% increase will only occur once; salaries will not increase by an additional 5% next year, or the year after that. However, the increase will be applied to the permanent salary schedule, which means that salaries will hold steady next year. In contrast, the additional 2% is a one-time bonus, not on the salary schedule. I hope that helps.

What is the pay range for teachers, administrators and other school employees? And what are the additional benefits?
