Mountain View home listings continue their downward trend

I think its better to rent in Mountain view. The cost is just much more favorable for what you get. The numbers prove this out:

Larry,

Figure 5 on that website you posted makes no sense. The median price of a house in Mountain View is way higher than $250k.

Nothing makes sense on the Larry's link.
"Figure 1 shows the total number of housing units for each city in the local area shown. Mountain View California shows it has 1,013 housing units".
"Figure 2 illustrates the housing density in the area as measured by houses per square land mile and it has 3,376.7 housing density".
So, according to the link, Mountain View size is less than one third of a square mile.

Larry, there are 2 Mountain Views in CA. Your link references the wrong one.

Thanks MV Mama. Now it makes sense.

Figure 28 shows the real housing imbalance in Mountain View.

We need more owner-occupied housing!

Yep. The true numbers show it is better to buy. Larry, I hope you didn't base any large financial decisions based on your own legwork. Best to consult a professional if in doubt.
