I was not against the relocation assistance for the City Clerk and said during my comments that I had no problem with it; but I was pointing out the double standard that this sets where city employees have no limit on relocation assistance based on AMI (Area Median Income) that they can receive and still be eligible but renters are limited to 80% AMI.

In June, when the Council was studying Relocation Assistance for renters, I told them that there should not be any limit and I was told that they didn't want people making $200k per year to be eligible. The City Clerk does not make $200k but is above the 80% AMI number. I think the Council should be consistent and afford renters the same benefit that they afford people that work for the city!

Wow. Help yourselves to the taxpayers generosity.

I guess we the taxpayers of Mountain View are not allowed to know the terms and interest rate of the loan. More crappy reporting from the Voice.

How about making loans available to teachers? (Hey, where did everybody go and who turned off the lights after I asked that question?)

Thanks Jim Neal , this shows that you really care for all the residents of Mountain View ,IT is a shame that the city council decided that the same rule does not apply to all and went for the double-standard !
By the way Where 'were all the other candidates? And why have they not spoken in defense of all those residents that will never ask the relocation assistance because of the limit of 80% based on AMI?
Only one out of nine, really cares for residents, Jim Neal !!!

You got my vote !
