Hmmm. Seems odd that such an act would occur at random. What would cause these guys to target the victim, taking only money and a cell phone? I wonder why they suspected there was enough money in the house to attempt such a risky and brazen act?

I have a feeling most people in MV are not at random risk of this happening to them, unless it was simple burglary where the victim happened to be home. From the headline though, it was a home invasion, so this is different from a burglar being surprised when someone is at home.
That bring us back to the question, why did the perps think there was enough $ in the house to try this high risk crime?
