Thank you Mountain View Voice, the Community in Action Team (CAT) agrees with you to re-elect Ellen Wheeler for the MVWSD board.
As the president of the Community in Action Team, (CAT), a grassroots group that serves primarily the Castro School and Rengstorff Park areas for over 10 years, regarding issues in health, education and neighborhood safety concerns are thrilled with your endorsement.
For years Ellen has been an advocate of CAT and has supported our various grassroots endeavors and academic success concerns. We have found her to have a well-rounded approach in the best educational practices and has a respected demeanor in other school related issues.
Therefore, we are confident that Ellen will continue to provide an array of fair input and judgment as a board member like the previous years.

Greg Coladonato will not represent the entire population of Mountain View. He is very centered on opening a school in the Whisman/Slater neighborhood. Opening that school could be a detriment to the fine programs that the district has in place as opening a school will be costly. Are parents willing to give up STEM or art and music for their children so that another school can be reopened? While Greg is articulate and has new ideas, he tries to push them through without buy in from the community at large. He and Steven Nelson will create a log jam so that nothing can be accomplished, particularly regarding the use of bond funds. Phil Palmer and Ellen Wheeler are better choices.
