Aren't newspapers supposed to be unbiased? It's already clear with the way comments are heavily curated that this newspaper wants people to see things just one way, but come on.

Actually, there is a long tradition of newspapers providing both unbiased news coverage and a robust editorial voice as well. The standards of ethics and practice are well established and have been refined and debated by journalists and academics for decades.

Naturally, not all newspapers adhere to these standards, but as a professional journalist myself, having been in leadership positions at major metropolitan newspapers, TV and online, the Voice strikes me as a responsible member of the journalistic fraternity.
