it is what it is now

a friend said we are doomed to be an affluent region

not so fast

things can be done to ameliorate the situation

FIRST however came recognition and acknowledgement of the jobs housing imbalance

for that kudos go to Lenny Siegel and "the campaign for a balanced mountain view" for his determined efforts to raise the issue and to challenge those in denial (including mtn view city council)

i hope he gets elected to city council as he seems the most prepared to work on this issue

That's great. Even others lost their jobs and a lot of people are struggling to get hired, there still a hope for everyone. A recent census releases an annual report of several things such as financial status from the previous years' information. Among other findings, the Census found poverty rates hardly changed and the median income declined, nationally. Median income slumped last year, working-class Americans are having a harder time of things. Check out Web Link
