Well at least here in mountain view the police cares, I live in Hayward across the street from Hayward Police my car was broken into and the cops say it's not a priority!!!!! and there understaff WHAT! and that comment that CHUCK made about Ipods it don't matter if there not the in thing dude it belonged to someone maybe you don't use ipods good for you but there are many people that still do. mine just got stolen with some brand new shoes that were in the trunk of my car...so I have to give PROPS to the Mountain View Police for handling the situation.
