2.9 earthquake hits Ladera

A magnitude 2.9 earthquake hit Ladera along the San Andreas Fault Wednesday evening around 8:24 p.m., according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

Now, how close to the USGS offices/labs in Menlo Park? Are they up 'to experiments' or is Mother Earth warning them (or is it just the usual - quasi-random motions of the Earth :).

I was at Woodside Rd and Alameda de las Pulgas in Redwood City and felt it as a quick jolt, like someone slammed a door in the distance.

I heard a rumor that U2 would be playing the aftershock.
