"She says her top priority is "preserving Mountain View's character while also planning for progress in a thoughtful manner."
"Having a balanced approach to how we change and grow is very important to me," she said.
Sounds like a candidate who will represent home owners as well as renters, protect our neighborhood, concerned about
traffic, concerned about parking, BRT, etc
Ellen Kamei will represent all of us, not just renters.

Never mind that renters have ALWAYS gotten the shaft in Mountain View, Konrad. But I guess that doesn't matter to you, does it now?

To all the people running for City Council and current members stop screwing Mountain View up. One very simple solution to this crap. Ask Google to leave. Everyone was happy before they came here. Not one single thing on the agenda for council members would be happening if they left. No housing issues such as rent control too many apartments single family home owners being pissed off because crap is being built next to them. No traffic issues. Real people could afford to live here. How is it ok to have a box built on your street and have is sell for 2.4 million dollars and the city does nothing to require it to "fit" into the neighborhood? Real people that have real regular jobs can not afford that! What is wrong with the people running the City of Mountain View? None of your children will be able to afford to live here unless they have stock from Google. Not going to happen since they import people to work here!

Notice that, so far, these candidates say next to nothing about what they would actually do. They will " represent" everybody. They have experience and supporters. Same old stuff.
