One injured in two-alarm structure fire

One person suffered burn injuries during a residential fire in Mountain View Tuesday evening, a fire dispatcher said.

Yes, a smoky smell was prominent in downtown Mountain View near Castro and Evelyn by 7:30 PM, with a low haze visible on streets to the northeast and a sulfur odor as from matches or fireworks. Many people were strolling or dining outdoors downtown in the summer evening, and commenting about the smoke.
