"Reminder: All Palo Alto parks and preserves will close at 9 p.m., except for the Baylands, which will stay open for a fireworks show at Shoreline Ampitheatre in Mountain View (see below). "
Seems to be missing some info currently.... But Baylands will be open for the fireworks it seems.
Even if you don't go to the events, you can get danger close (if you want) to the fireworks at Stanford. Just scoot out G=== St at the end and you'll also miss all the traffic.

The list seems incomplete. What about fireworks at Stanford? Redwood City? Great America?

My family went to the Shoreline concert and fireworks for the first time last night. We were very disappointed in the bike parking arrangements, in other words, there were none. People locked up bikes to trees and railings or anywhere they could find.
You need to get some better bike parking, and also give tickets to people riding bikes without lights at night.

Another thought, we assumed that sitting on the lawn meant just that and that everyone would be sitting on the grass. When we discovered that lawn chairs were allowed, neigh encouraged by the ability to rent, we were surprised that those with chairs were not made to sit further back and leave the lawn space for those sitting on blankets. My family found our nice grassy spot and set out our blankets as the slope filled. We were eventually dismayed to discover that the group who sat in front of us proceeded to sit on chairs completely blocking the fine view we thought we had secured. We spent the entire concert staring at the backs of seats rather than able to view the concert and since we were situated where we could not see either of the screens, we could only listen to music rather than watch. Definitely spoilt the atmosphere of a live concert.
