People just don't know how to drive and/or need to go back to driving school.
I was crossing Middlefield during the outage and people were just blowing through the stop lights that were out.
I guess they figure that no lights mean no stops.

People blow through reds all day long, Sunnyvale to El Camino. 2,3 at a time from the left turn lanes. What makes you think no light at all would be different?

We don't need a blackout to show us how selfish and irresponsible drivers are. Its commonplace.

BTW FYI - to anyone - if your speakers or receiver or any AV equipment gets fried/stops working due to outage, PGE claims that it is NOT their responsibility. They state that it is mentioned in their fine print that this could be consequence of Power outages.

PGE answers to no one. Is responsible for nothing. They can do what they want with no accountability.
Ask San Bruno.
Ask Los Altos about their Beautiful redwood trees. Now gone on a whim with no recourse.
Be thankful for what they provide when you pay their next rate increase to give themselves raises and provide dividends to shareholders, and hope you or youe children are not home for the next brown out or power outage.

Having lived in Palo Alto for a while... I had Palo Alto trash service, Palo Alto Utilities, and Palo Alto cable tv.....

None of them were any better than PG&E.

If TCI hadn't taken over the cable in Palo Alto, everyone would probably still be on dial up and they'd still have that silly fiber optic internet display in the city hall lobby

In response to Roman,
That is what a monopoly is all about. Big brother is here! We are slaves to the system whether we know it or not! They can spray/poison our air, water and food so we are as docile as Hitlers prisoners, (that is why there is flouride in the water)
