State Assembly District 24: For whom to vote?

Original post made by Greg Coladonato, Slater, on May 28, 2014

Fellow Mountain View residents,

One of the offices we are voting for during the June 3rd Primary Election is for the 24th District of the State Assembly. For anyone who might not be familiar, California’s State Assembly is made up of 80 representatives from around the state, and is the “lower house” of the state legislature, just like the House of Representatives is in the U.S. Congress. The 24th District was redrawn by the Citizens’ Redistricting Commission in 2011, so the first election using the new 24th district took place in 2012.

There are three candidates running for this office on June 3rd. I am proud to be one of them. If you would like to know more about the three candidates, you can read this newspaper article from the San Mateo Daily Journal: Web Link

Any voter who cares about the long-term solvency of our state, or about improving our students’ educational outcomes, or wants to do something about the high level of corruption in our legislature, should make sure to research the three candidates and vote accordingly.

If you would like to know more about my qualifications for this office, please visit my campaign website: http://electgreg.org. Some information I would like to draw you attention to are:

No matter who you vote for, don’t forget to vote next Tuesday!

Democratically yours,
Greg

I wanted to include a number of helpful reference links along with the above post, but Voice policy didn't allow me to have so many URLs in a single post. So, here they are in their own post:

Greg, are you really a democrat?

Every political donation you made seemed to go to a Republican candidate. Just curious as to why you are running on a democratic ticket?
