One of the offices we are voting for during the June 3rd Primary Election is for the 24th District of the State Assembly. For anyone who might not be familiar, California’s State Assembly is made up of 80 representatives from around the state, and is the “lower house” of the state legislature, just like the House of Representatives is in the U.S. Congress. The 24th District was redrawn by the Citizens’ Redistricting Commission in 2011, so the first election using the new 24th district took place in 2012.
There are three candidates running for this office on June 3rd. I am proud to be one of them. If you would like to know more about the three candidates, you can read this newspaper article from the San Mateo Daily Journal: Web Link
Any voter who cares about the long-term solvency of our state, or about improving our students’ educational outcomes, or wants to do something about the high level of corruption in our legislature, should make sure to research the three candidates and vote accordingly.

Democratically yours,
Greg
