Original post made on Apr 30, 2014

A geyser sprang up like Old Faithful on Middlefield Road this afternoon around 3 p.m., the result of a rental car hitting a fire hydrant.

Actually, a broken water pipe and a geyser are totally different. If a geyser had actually "Sprung up", it would have been the result of volcanic activity
and would been quite a story indeed. This is a broken water pipe.

"Water You Doing?," that's hysterical! Thanks for the laugh.

Eruption, thanks for the geology lesson. I've only taken two semesters of college, but my theory is that the author of the article was exercising a literary term known as an "expression".

Eruption - get a life. And a sense of humor. How boring life with you must be.

Why is the fact that it was a rental car important? A personally owned vehicle would need the same sort of repair.

Where on Middlefield did it happen?

@Geez: I like your post. It shows that no matter how much a post may make it seem that the author needs to "Get a life", there is always someone who needs to do that just a little more...the responder to the post. They still have some life @ Walmart if you are on a budget. Glad I could educate you about geysers and what they actually are. Enjoy your full life after you pick it up, its great! :)
