Calling Common Core Quixotes:
Since school board elections are approaching, one obvious question for the field of candidates might be whether any of them harbor any reservations or skepticism regarding Common Core Standards. In most other states, opposition to the Common Core seems to increase daily, but here in California things are quiet. Nowhere is this more true than in Mountain View, home of the Silicon Valley Community Foundation, which with one hand runs a multimillion dollar support campaign for the Common Core, and with the other distributes charitable largess to area school districts and the favorite charities of community newspapers. Therefore, if there are any mavericks out there running for school board positions willing to tilt at this behemoth of a windmill, please make yourself known so that I can vote for you.
