About parks: I think it's great we're getting more of them! They are needed to support the additional jobs and residents we are lucky enough to attract to Mountain View. Also, in my opinion the main feature of a park is grass and trees. I'd rather have more acreage of simple parks, than a few parks with lots of other facilities.

Really? Do you need to spend 38 million dollars for a nicer place for the gang members to hang out in? Bribe money from the developers. How about letting people enjoy their back yards without having big a** remodel jobs next door looking down on them!

Recreation facilities are always needed community centers host events, meetings and classes. Youth programs are a major plus, low cost classroom space, places that adults who share the same interests, or whatever people desire.

Sport, culture or on going education. Don't forget play.

Grass and trains are great, but parks are also recreation.

How about donating some of that park funds to the Los Altos School District? All that Mountain View approved increased housing in San Antonio will have kids going into LASD.

This is Park ane Rec funds, why should MV hand over money for their residents, yes the city should assist in finding a school site. Mountain View is part of the LASD, but not much land free. Unless you find land inside MV part of the district. You would have to think land inside the MVWSD but I don't how the parents with kids inside that districit would feel?

Schools, people, schools. We cannot flood LASD with kids and not help open a new school or two for our own kids who are so much of the new population!
