Time for city to address jobs-housing imbalance

Mountain View is in the midst of a tremendous growth spurt that in the next 15 years is likely to bring thousands of new employees to town unless the City Council decides to rein in what seems like an out-of-control phenomenon.

I invite the mayor and council members to commute to North Bayshore area every day for a month; do this between 8:00 and 10:00 am and then between 5 and 6:00 pm. Try Rengstorff, Shoreline, 101, and San Antonio.

Then imagine this same gridlock commute with thousands more commuters.

We are already gridlocked and the streets are at a standstill during commuter hours. This is a terrible quality of life issue.
