Bringing back wrestling

A group of local parents are prepared to go to the mat in support of a proposal to bring back Mountain View High School's long-discontinued wrestling program.

I hope that wrestling succeeds at MVHS. Its good for all. Big thanks to the sports boosters who have given a much needed boost of enthusiam and support for all the sports team at the high school. keep up the great work!

Wrestling builds self esteem and self reliance. When you are on the mat, you can not blame the outcome on someone else, except perhaps the guy that you wrestle... whoops....
person that you wrestle. Brave leaders to lead any youth activity, especially one that builds the individual!

Add in the fact that a real & growing percentage of wrestlers these days are female and you have a teachable moment! Make sure you add women to the team so that bringing the wrestling team back is a slam dunk! (ahem...)

Hey, Girl Power! - thanks for the comment. Including females on the wrestling team is definitely part of the plan. We have been discussing this all along. I know there are female wrestlers at the middle schools that feed Mountain View.
