Next thing they will want is a free lunch. If they want to go into danger, let them spend their own money.
I would suggest to heed the embassy's warning.
"The U.S. Embassy in Port Au Prince, Haiti, warns Americans to be very cautious when visiting the country, and according to the head of the high school district, the group is very careful when in the country."

one of the poorest and most dangerous countries in the world? wow! seriously. I suggest you do your research before you make such statement. There more countries more dangerous than Haiti. The street of Chicago is more than dangerous than Haiti. Never mind New Orleans, countries such as Bahamas, Jamaica, Mexico.
Second, Haiti is not the poorest country. Poverty is a world wide problem, here in America you have families and kids going to bed hungry every night. For the past 50 years the media and large NGO's have label Haiti with this title "one of the poorest and most dangerous countries in the world" to create this negative image of the country for their own financial benefits (those NGO's).
