Palo Alto's dining renaissance

There's a generally held perception that the Peninsula dining scene is dead. But a walk through downtown Palo Alto on any given day at dining hours will tell you otherwise.

Maybe it is just me, but I much prefer Mountain View's restaurant scene to Palo Alto's. Much more diversity of cuisine and interesting flavors in Mountain View. Palo Alto's restaurants may be fancier and more expensive, but the food is more bland.
