State may declare drought emergency

The state of California's water supply is in a third year of drought and is prompting state water officials to ask for a state of water emergency in California in the coming weeks.

"San Francisco's ballot measure to drain and restore the Hetch Hetchy Reservoir, which provides the city with its water, was defeated this past Election Day."

Thank God the voters had more sense then to destroy it. And there is 4 more dams that are slated for removal by California.

It's seven dams (there are four Klamath River dams). The reservoirs are filled with sediment, the dams are no longer useful for water supply.
