Common sense says don't add to the pollution until there is some rain to wash it away. Thank you.

If we have not burned wood in our fireplaces for 25 and counting days where does this supposed woodfire pollution come from????
Obviously not from the cold fireplaces!!!
Why don't the Spare the Air people that are completely brainwashed by false information figure out what is really causing the problem?

I just laugh because it'll probably be another 15 years before I even sniff living in a residence with a fireplace.

Years ago a tax to improve the air quality was voted on and passed. Everyone wants clean air. The idea was good but implementation like MTBE failed, so it off to pick on things like your fire place. The major pollution however is too many cars on the road. Logically there has been little wood fires yet we see the highest pollution levels in years. But one more fire would still add to our mess. Lets all hope it rains soon. New house construction has a ban on wood fires, only gas. BTW the typical 60W and 40W bulbs are also banned like the 75 and 100W they are electric energy waste and contribute to more pollution. Now are we banning e cigarettes?

It's amazing how pollution has become a dirty word in the United States. Instead of the embarrassment it would cause in other, cleaner and more responsible countries, here it's become a source of selfish contention: "I don't care if my wood smoke is the carbon monoxide that's blowing in your windows and vents and making you deathly ill: a man's home is his castle and I'll use my fireplace as much as I want to." The next time you get in an elevator, why don't you smoke a whole pack of cigarettes at once and be done with it?
