DUI crackdown continues through New Year's Day

The Mountain View Police Department continues to crack down on drunken drivers. The department's annual "Avoid the 13" program kicked off Friday, Dec. 13, and will continue through the first of the New Year.

I bet most of the people they arrested for "drunk driving" only had a couple drinks and were in no way intoxicated or a danger to the public.

This is more about the police and the courts making money than anything else.

Isn't it interesting that the people who complain the most about DUI charges are usually the ones who were actually caught drinking and driving?
