I think that the official temperature reading in MV comes from Moffett Field which is near the Bay. I've scraped my windshield for 3 straight mornings, so its below freezing more inland from the Bay.

I recollect that the official MV weather station was moved from Moffett to the new city hall. The move resulted in a 10 degree raise of the everyday temperature reading. This move was at the same time that SF weather was moved from the Presidio to Mission Delores, which also netted a 10 degree rise. (both are approx.) These moves gave some statistical data to "Global warming", because the site moves were not factored in to the stats.
