Cold snap to hit Peninsula

Higher-than-normal temperatures over Thanksgiving Day will end this week as a cold snap heading for the Bay Area is expected to blanket the region by mid-week, according to the National Weather Service.

Plants will freeze at 28 degrees. That is when the cells break down. I have a friend who puts Christmas lights in a citrus tree in winter to keep it warm.
