The people do not want it now that the real ridership numbers anc dosts are out there. These items were not honestly communicated at the time of the vote. Vote now with honest information and it goes down in a huge defeat.

With all the things that are falling apart in the country, schools, infrastructure, etc... why would our govt be even thinking of something as massive as this that will not bring in any money, only a HUGE deficit.

If the rail idea was good, then the current rail system would have taken advantage of this idea a long time ago. But as of right now, the rail industry only thinks about transporting goods, since there is no money in transporting people.

As I said many times before during my campaign last year, this is nothing more than a giant boondoggle, the sole purpose of which is to separate tax payers from their hard-earned money in order to transfer our money to the well-connected and cronies of those in Sacramento!

However, don't think that this project is dead just because a judge ruled against it! As we have seen over and over again, Government does not take "No" for an answer. Especially if it means they can spread the wealth to a bunch of their friends and allies.

If High Speed Rail were such a great investment, you would see the private sector beating down the doors in Sacramento to get in on the investment. Instead, we see that people with cash are staying as far away as if HSR stood for Highly Smelly Roadkill instead of High Speed Rail.

No, it is only our elected officials that for some reason want to shove this project down our throats and at the same time, tell us how stupid we are because we don't want to waste over $100 Billion on a project that we don't need and can't afford.

We need to keep telling them "Even if you build it, we won't come!". We won't be forced into yet another public transportation system where we will be held hostage every time there is a labor dispute to get a 15% raise (as in the latest BART strike), when most of us are happy if we don't get our salaries CUT for a year or more!

Write and/or call your representatives and tell them to get rid of this High Speed Turkey before it gobbles up what is left of our shaky economy.
