Local health officials hail new insurance law

Local health officials said they expect more people will seek help earlier for mental health and substance abuse problems, and that they would be able to treat more people facing facing such issues, now that insurance companies are required to cover visits to therapy and drug rehab the same way they cover visits to the doctor or the physical therapist.

Nice, but how much more will this cost us?

ObamaCare is already making men and older women buy pregnancy coverage and pediatric coverage that they will NEVER use, and premium rates are skyrocketing.

Unfortunately there is nothing 'affordable' in the new law for an average taxpayer. Great for the really poor but horrible for the middle class.

And who will take advantage of all these mental health services now that people's private health records will be available to everyone!?

Assuming that they can even buy coverage in the first place. I work for a large organization and I lost my health plan and my doctor. I now have to pay more with higher deductibles and get less coverage. Gotta love it!
