Rail foes seek to bar further spending on project

After scoring a victory in a Sacramento court last month, opponents of California's proposed high-speed rail system are now asking the judge to bar the agency responsible for the line from spending any money on the $68 billion project until a new business plan is in place.

Finally someone pushing for actual good government that follows the rules and does what it promises to do.

The rail proposition was based on faulty data and misleading claims. It needs to be stopped until they can show they will meet their promised deliverables.

I wonder if as a taxpayer, I can sue the plaintiffs to recover the increased costs caused by this delay. HSR is needed, so start building already. What good is a new business plan if federal money disappears due to the delay. One step forward, ten steps back.
