Hospital district improving transparency, officials say

A better website, a distinguishing name change and modifications to the way the organization keeps track of taxpayer money have made the El Camino Healthcare District more transparent and accountable to the public, according to an official with the Local Agency Formation Commission of Santa Clara County.

Better late than never I guess.
If the hospital is profitable then why do we have the district?

I would be interested to learn how much rent the HOSPITAL pay the district for the use of district owned facilities. The rent could be used to reduce the district's taxes
