Thank you Mr. Aranda for your heroism and for sharing your gifts with those who are less fortunate than you. This award should have been presented to you decades ago. Your selfless courage, your generosity of spirit and your honorable character are admirable indeed.

It's so nice to see Juan Aranda more widely recognized for his "local hero" work, too. We are all blessed by his presence in our community. Thank you, Juan.

Before the civil rights era, non-white members of the US military were routinely denied honors for their heroism in uniform. I'm glad that Mr. Aranda is finally being honored, both for his personal recognition and to show that minorities are welcome in the military in the 21st century.

Yup... heroes are all around us. Not surprised though very pleased Mr Aranda finally is getting the praise he so rightly deserves.
Also not surprised that Anna Eshoo took the matter to heart and made "the right thing" happen yet again. She's a wonder too and we are lucky to have her working for us in Congress. She's one of the best people in Congress.
No matter your party affiliation or lack of it, remember Anna come next election.
